Thursday 3rd December will see London food and party collective Disco Picnic kick off a very special winter series, with three weekly sets of events set to provide myriad treats for your ears, your eyes and your tastebuds.

Disco Picnic is an experiment in music and food that makes use of bespoke, multi-use event spaces, pairing them with mouth-watering culinary delights, premium drink and cocktails. Already with a slew of memorable events behind them, Disco Picnic showcases musical, artistic and fashion trends throughout their series, and always cook up happy and eclectic atmospheres that hark back to the free party days of yore. Earlier this year they hosted their own stage at Secret Garden Party, and with new events planned in Manchester and London, further festival stages in the words, brand takeovers and food residencies in the bag, Disco Picnic are very much making their mark.

The winter Disco Picnic series takes over a never before used site. The spaces are Safe House 1 and 2 which are situated on Copeland Road. The two adjacent stripped-back Victorian houses will feature works from prolific artists, photographers, and fashion labels.

The Food

The food this time around will come from one of London’s most prolific pop-ups – Seth Troxler’s BBQ joint Smokey Tails. What people generally don’t know about Seth, is his penchant for cooking. As three-time champion of the Amsterdam Dance Event DJ cook-off, Seth puts almost as much time and dedication into the kitchen as he does in the DJ booth. Expect seasonal treats.

The Music

By day Disco Picnic will begin with a chilled vibe – hip, funk, soul and disco – gradually upping the ante as the hours go by and the cocktails slip down. And at some of the events, come 8pm things will switch up with ‘After ATE’ lineups featuring unannounced guest DJs playing extended sets. Previous secret guests include Archie Hamilton, Alex Arnout, Rob James, Citizenn and dOP to name a few.

Music takeovers will come from the likes of Hotel Motel, Tuckshop, Luv’ Dancin, the Menendez Brothers and Smokey Tails.

The Fashion

The Club will be joining Disco Picnic as resident vintage pop-up. The girls trawl through the crimes against fashion, and the pieces that time really should have forgotten; sifting through the rubbish to find those exceptional garments, creating a range of pre-loved excellence.

Each vintage piece is carefully sourced and added to their ever-growing boutique, and you can rummage through their rails and leave your other half kicking back on the bed playing Mario Kart.
